                           Dr. Leung  Bo Wah is an Associate Professor in the Department of Cultural and Creative  Arts. He received his Ph.D. in music education from the University of New South  Wales, Australia. Dr. Leung’s research interest includes creativity in music,  motivation in learning music and composing, transformative learning, and  teaching Cantonese Opera in the classroom. He is currently Programme  Coordinator of MA (Music Education), Chair of Departmental Research and  Development Committee, and one of the founding Co-editors of the Asia-Pacific Journal for Arts Education.  He is on the editorial boards of 3 international refereed journals of music  education and an Adjunct Professor of the School of Music at the Northeast  Normal University of China. Dr. Leung serves as a Board Member (2004–2006;  2010–2012) of the International Society for Music Education (ISME), the Chair  of the Music in School and Teacher Education Commission (2006–2008), and a  Commissioner of the Research Commission (2010–2016) under ISME. At present, he is  Vice President of the Hong Kong Association for Music Educators, and a subject  specialist (Education; Performing Arts) for the Hong Kong Council for  Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications.
